White Airway Buffs are generally used for the final step of high luster buffing. They can also be used for mild and light cut buffing. Used in many polishing shops for color buffing and light cutting on all Metals. Sometimes used for buffing plastics, and lacquers. Good for a first step guitar buffing wheel.
This wheel is available with a 1-1/4"arborhole or a 1 inch if needed. You must choose your center hole size when ordering.
The construction of the Airway Buffing Wheel helps eliminate fraying and results in an economical, long lasting buff. When used with a perforated center plate insert, air passes between sections and helps the buff to run much cooler. The steel center and rigid construction allow greater pressure and faster cutting speed. This wheel is 14 inches in diameter, it has a 5 inch center hole. It comes with a 5 inch center plate. They are made with 16 plys of cotton.
You MUST USE 6 inch End Flanges with this buffing wheel. Used with coloring compounds like BP-1025 and BP-335. Also works well with cut compounds and greaseless compounds. Made in the USA.
