Buffing Wheel 14 inch Flannel 18 Ply (Guitar Buffing Wheel)
14 Inch Top Grade Flannel Buffing Wheel
GUITAR Buffing Wheel 1/2" wide, 1 row of sewing, 1-1/4" Arbor Hole. NOW also available with a 1 inch center hole for Stew Mac Machines.
This Flannel wheel is most commonly used to buff fine guitar finishes and instruments. These soft flannel buffing wheels are for the finest scratch free buffing on soft metals like brass, copper, gold, and others. They are excellent for final buffing on lacquered products like guitars and pianos. Flannel buffs should be used with the finest coloring compounds like Blue Diamond #445 or BP1025, Green BP250Z and Red Rouge. These wheels are 18 plys of flannel sewn with one row of sewing around the center hole. They are roughly 1 inch thick. Like other full Disc wheels they can be stacked together on the buffing shaft to reach the desired thickness or used alone as a 1/2" inch wide buff. Flannels can be too soft to produce a good shine on steel and stainless steel.
Great as the final "last step buff" for guitar buffing.
